Pre-construction vs resale in Puerto Vallarta
Updated · By Chase Jordan
The short answer
Resale means you see exactly what you buy and can usually close in weeks. Pre-construction can mean a lower price and your choice of unit, but your money goes in before the building exists, and nobody can guarantee the delivery date. If you buy pre-construction, check the permits, the land title and the contract terms first.

Frequently asked questions
Is pre-construction riskier?
Yes, because you pay before the building exists. The checklist in the pre-construction guide reduces the risk; it does not remove it.
